Monk Strap searching

Thread Starter
hi,

I am looking for a double monk strap.
First target is edward green westminister.
However, it seems missing something.
What do you guys think?
Any other recommendation?

I saw this on net and seem quite good looking.
Do you know what it is??

What do you think of the Allen Edmonds Neumora double monk? A few sales ago, I bought a pair for $190, and I love them.

Mercanti Fiorentini around $150 @ DSW.  They look great and quality is pretty good.

An acquaintance who owns a shop here in town was complaining the other day how much pain he was in breaking in a new pair.

He's not sartorially impaired so I wonder what gives?

Thanks for you guys idea.
I am researching on them.
I start to figure out why i feel EG westmister is wierd.
The problem may be on its 888 last, which ia a bit square toe.
Do you agree?

I guess you feel like something is missing because you can't see the tongue of the shoe on the EGW.

And while you're picking up that model, you can get bad boy as well. http://www.dsw.com/shoe/mercanti+fiorentini+men%27s+lace+up+gladiator+sandal?prodId=242048&productRef=SEARCH

Why even bother with the monk strap, this costs 30% less, and is 100 000% MORE AWESOME!

Sid Mashburn Dub Monk's in the chocolate brown suede.  They are $600 so not cheap but they are awesome.

John Lobb Chapel is awesome.

I made an ebay offer last week to ascot_shoes, which was rejected. He apparently sold the shoes later for his asking price, $50 less than the price at Neiman-Marcus. What is wrong with ebay bidders??

I got bored with the John Lobb Chapel (maybe because I feel I’m too old for the shoe)…

…I think the John Lobb William is one of the best double-monks though my favorite is the John Lobb Wallace (I could easily and nicely survive with just these two pair of shoes)…
