Jacket from suit or not?

I'm thinking about purchasing this however am I right in thinking that it is part of a suit? Sorry for the dumb question but I find it hard to distinguish and it doesn't specify.

Could be, but the windowpaning makes it sporty enough to be worn as an odd jacket....at least in my opinion, and if that's what you're driving at.

Probably a suit coat and therefore not a sports coat which is presumably the question you want answering.

Certainly could. I have a suit that is similar and piece the parts out all the time for more casual settings.

Could you wear it as a jacket - yes
Should you wear it as a jacket - no

Looks too suity for my liking; however, if you really want it, get it and then change the buttons to med (or light) brown horn (also tuck in the flaps at all times)

If you have to ask this question that means you are not 100% confident wearing this as odd jacket. I think you should pass. You can always get better deals on better jackets in future. I have purchased(still is some times) when I am not 100% confident purely becos it’s a super deal. And most times I don’t feel 100% satisfy with those items. And they end up at the back of my closet.
