Holland & Sherry...toasty warm sport jackets for Fall/Winter...
That's pretty heavy; far more so that I can tolerate! Lovely looking fabrics though. I think the Gregor would look great as a suit, and the Orion as an odd jacket. The Dillon houndstooth is surely at least topcoat-weight though! You must have the circulation of your namesake woolly forebears, or at least live in a similar climate.
I tend to top out at about 14oz, largely because England is a temperate land and many locations I have to visit here in winter have the central heating cranked up so anything heavier rapidly becomes soul-destroyingly hot. But I do tend to be out & around enough (including visiting some unheated locations) to justify having a large range of overcoats and scarfs to cope with any ambient cold. I find layering up rather than having a single heavy layer more comfortable & practical here.
I believe you are correct that it is from the Interior Division...not sure how the book ended up in my office; I thought it was for super-heavy-duty jackets...it is pretty heavy cloth.
I showed the following jacket to a friend and the next day the H&S book arrived...maybe he thought I was a chair.
