Return blazer or visit the tailor?

post #1 of 9
Thread Starter

Hey, I am attempting to buy my first navy blazer and have bought this one online as the measurements were as near as I could find, upon arriving the sleeves are too long and the blazer is too baggy. Do you think I should return it or can a tailor do what needs to be done with this for a great fit?

I'm sure your tailor can do the alteration for a small fee.

return

Another vote for returning. It's not just a matter of minor alterations, it's wrong in lots of ways.

Don't think you could go smaller in the chest and shoulder. Sleeves need so much cloth cut off to shorten you will probably lose the open vent if there is one. Can't tell about the length or the back, bad pictures to judge from. Styling is generic. Keep it if you like it or return it if you don't.

Hope will shortening the sleeves from the bottom affect the jacket vent?

Not the back vent. The sleeve vent.

Return it. It looks bad. I wouldn't waste money on alterations.
