★ 2012 OCTOBER NO PURCHASE CLUB - Page 6

Most of us failed this month, including myself.
The November Club is actually going to run half way into December...sort of a month and a half challenge; Christmas being the reason.
Therefore, if anyone plans on screwing up, may as well do it now. smile.gif

Can we have a slightly more tame version of this just for November? Koreans don't really celebrate Christmas, so I don't have to buy gifts or anything. But...I mean...a month and a half. MoL, such a taskmaster?

My S.O. is from Seoul and I just checked with her. Koreans really do celebrate Christmas!

But you don't have to do the full challenge....anyone who can get through November will have done fine. But we are getting ahead of ourselves. Let's wait until October is done.

It's more of a "couple" holiday and not a family holiday. It's a national holiday (though I've worked the past three Christmases), but maybe the third or fourth biggest. But yes, Christmas music is played here and decorations can be purchased.

Thanks for pointing out my attempt to rationalize my weakness shog[1].gif

Well, I've been good so far but that will probably be the end of me. I almost bought a Breuer cashmere tie at NM Last Call today, but didn't pull the trigger. I probably would have bought it if I wasn't doing this No Purchase Club. Not sure if that's a good thing or not. confused.gif

Do you need some help to be strong? Have you become too weak with your money on clothes? Well this is your chance to change this!
You are coordially invited to take the oath to help save yourself from financial ruin.
Take the vows. Commit yourself to a 31 day break from spending. Just think of the money you'll save. Will you do it? Will you try?
Sign-ups begin today but the challenge will begin Monday October 01, 2012 and run to Wednesday October 31, 2012 at midnight.
If you are not already a Styleforum member, I would like to coordially invite you to take 5 minutes to join our beloved forum and participate.
Who's ready to gain strength from the sharing? Who's with me? Arrrgghhhhh!!..... satisfied.gifnod[1].gifshog[1].gifhappy.gificon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif
Edit- I have updated the Emergency & Maintenace budget to $150 (example- the cost of a full resoling)

Screw this. I'm going the opposite direction. But I have an excuse. My birthday is in October.

After a couple of suits, pants, shoes, belts, gloves, sunglasses and 11(!) shirts in October I'm definitely game for November!

I failed. Nothing fancy, just needed some new cords for fall and wanted to use the RL advance sale coupon before Oct. 31.
