Those boots are really awesome, and nice to read your thoughts about them! Some small things I noticed, Vass (or basically no one who hand welts) doesn't use a canvas rib but a cut out holdfast in the leather insole, and the trees are his standard lasted shoe trees, not boot trees, it's just that the back part is quite high.

First day with my new chukka boots.:) Picture in direct sunlight.

Antonio has informed me that for the GMTO, HAF soles and half rubber topy soles will not be possible. But toe taps are ok.
The discount is on the price of the shoe itself, without all the bells and whistles.

Is this still a go for April? I am 100% on board.

Absolutely yes.
And I've written your name down so I remember to leave you a message when the time comes.

Sweet!

Went to Antonio last Saturday. I was looking for a pair of black oxfords for my wedding. I've ended up buying three pairs of shoes after I've spent three lovely hours discussing the minutiae of shoemaking. I bought the wholecuts with the decorative stiching that you can see in the pics and a pair of double monks. Antonio is a great guy and, if you have the time to drive all the way to Airola, visiting his workshop is worth your time. I'll post a detailed review after a couple of months of breaking-in.

Check his website, some of his outlet shoes are a bargain!

We've had some preliminary discussion on the eventual make up...
The preference has now shifted more towards an antiqued mid brown calf. With the facings and heel counters in a similarly colored pin grain.
Early preference might be for the chisel 2 last.

Will be up for discussion, or course.

Hi @ThunderMarch, sorry for the late reply. I'm keen to join this GMTO if still available. Thanks.

Hey there, thanks for your interest. Will note this down. And will finalise the make-up soon.

I might be interested too depending on the price. Is the plan still to finalize makeup in April?

Actually, the make-up is more or less finalised now.

It will be the Hastatus model in the Chisel 2 last. Pin grain for the facings and heel.

So it's basically this make-up:

But in this color:

There are already more than 12 interests so the maximum discount will be reached, and the price of the shoe alone, will be 491 Euros (Non EU price).

Thanks for organising!

@ThunderMarch These look great! So the entire shoe won't be pin grain? Just the front and heel? And did Antonio mention how long it would take for the shoes to be made?

For existing customers who are partaking in this GMTO, are you able to have the shoes made on your custom last? Or stock sizes only?

I asked this previously and I believe the answer is no.
