Thanks. From what I recall, the Carmina 9 instep is slightly lower than the Meccariello 9.5. I have a pretty high instep, but my lacing isn't as open as Swede's. I'll get a photo wearing tomorrow.

Hi JLopez,

I'm not sure tbh.
The uppers are already cut and the apron is stitched so most of the time consuming parts is done, but August means vacation in Italy so I guess sometime during September or October.

That'd be great, thank you!

Not the best photo, but you can see how open the lacing is on mine. Not bad, and will close some with more wear.

Gents, thanks for all the sizing feedback. I am now thinking that I should keep to my UK 9 sizing as i have in Rain for A.M. shoes.

From @Shouldaville 's photos, it appears that the lacing can be rather close for an oxford (even though he size up). I have a high instep as well and although width and instep on the Rain fits me fine, the heel slips.

Thank you! They look great. And the instep looks fine to me. Thanks again.

I thought it was funny lol, and I'm inclined to agree. On looks, Meccariello does not appear to be inferior in any way...completely gorgeous.

Here is what I wear on the other makers:

Edward Green: UK9 (606, 202), UK9.5 (82)
Enzo Bonafe UK9 (946, 363MOD, 804)
Vass UK9 (Peter)
Carmina UK9 (Rain). I have UK9 on Uetam and Simpson and they are tight
UK9 for most UK shoemakers (Loake, Cheaney)

I think I should be UK9 unless it is the super slim or low instep lasts. Not sure which of A.M. lasts fit the slim and low instep lasts category like Simpson etc.

I am looking at A.M. Hawksbill last specifically.

Thanks for any advice you can give...

Yes, I should just email Antonio, but does anyone know whether the new website means that he can take a credit card for handwelted Argentum MTO/MTM orders?
