Antonio Meccariello Shoes - Page 10

Just wanted to update everyone on the fit of my shoes after owning them for a couple weeks..

I had originally thought that they were slightly large (I should have measured with thinner socks in hindsight), however, after a couple weeks and some breaking in they fit beautifully.

Antonio had not hesitated to e-mail me and ask what he could do to help with the fit, so thought I should mention that. But in the end it turns out that he knew the fit better then I did.

I can't recommend him enough for both the service and end product.

My pair of AM's is on the DHL plane as we speak. Thanks to you guys who figured out how to order these. I really enjoyed the process and Antonio was a pleasure to work with. These are pics Antonio sent me as my pair was completed. If they fit well there will definitely be more pairs...

I love the new last and fiddled waist of your prototype shoes. I think I might have to order a pair now!

they are shorter than his usual shoes
they will be more classic and less extuberant
in design and execution
they will be made with bespoke grade leather
of course fully hand welted
lasted trees will be available
the waist will be cut close

Didn't know that they even hand sewn outsoles. Amazing. Seems truly handmade unlike Saint Crispins.

Whut? StC uses machines on their outsoles? I really wish there was a meta shoe thread on SF, with detailed info on make and materials.

Yes, SC uses hand cranked stitching machine to attach their outsoles.

Most people on SF people do not care about the material or the construction; they care only about the last and the painting.
