To whom are these brands unknown? None of the makers mentioned are foreign to SF. They have all been discussed in threads to varying degrees

Well it's unknown for most people I think.

Same quality or better than Brioni is a pretty high standard.

I guess you could call this, brands unappreciated by the plebes.

I feel like if I tell you, they won't be unknown anymore. PM me if you can promise to keep quiet.

Same or better quality than Brioni is a bit tough. The only ones that comes to mind is La Vera and maybe St. Andrew (old RLPL). Attolini/Oxxford/Kiton also but they are all pretty much well known now. Here are some brands that are unknown and are slightly below Brioni level:

Partenopea
Belvest
Caruso
Isaia (pretty well known now, in NYC at least)
Borrelli (see above)

These are pretty well known on SF though but I'm assuming you mean to the general public.

Higher than Brioni standards is pretty tough and all brands mentioned have been discussed in some way. I would add 9.2 from Italy(they don´t even have a website, but just a shop in Padova and Verona). Maybe Delvaux from Belgium?

I'm wearing their 002 boots today.  I like them a lot.  I have never handled their suede.
