We first meet Gorman's Menswear at Toronto wedding show and booked them for our Aug 11, 2012 wedding. Upon our first consult in April 2012, my fiancee and I were very excited to work with Chris, "owner" and his father from Gorman's Menswear. They came to our home, showed us several samples, took my measurements and guaranteed to colour match the vest to our bridesmaids dresses. Chris set us up with online access in order to enter our grooms men's measurements as I received them, all was well at this point.
June 2012, our bridesmaids dresses arrived and we attempted to contact Chris to set up our final fitting and colour match appointment. We called and left messages daily for 5 days before Chris accidentally answered one day and fumbled for words throughout our phone conversation. He proceded to book our follow up appointment for 2 days out and said he would call us prior to confirm timing as he had several stops to make that day.
Needless to say, that day came and left with no sign of Chris or any other employee from Gorman's Menswear nor a phone call, letter in the mail, or telegram. We called multiple times daily and received nothing but an answering service recording saying that they were very busy but all previously placed order will be honored and processed. After calling and emailing all of June and July with no answer or response from Gorman's Menswear, my fiancee decided to do some research.
We found a Red Flag Deal of The Day run by Gorman's Menswear ending the day after our wedding date which explains why they were too busy to answer the phone or respond to any messages left by us.
We put an end to the horror story unveiling before us and cut our losses with 3 weeks until our wedding, we took our business to Moores @ Kennedy and 401 and experienced nothing but professional courteous service. The service associate helping us could not believe we got stiffed from Gorman's Menswear but assured us that our tuxedos would arrive in time for our August 11, 2012 wedding and even called us with weekly updates to keep us informed with the process. we received our last call on August 10, 2012 informing us that our order was ready to be picked up.
