Really, we should use the same naming convention as brogues. These would be full monks and the single strap version would be called half monks or semi-monks, as it reveals the true position: that people with one buckle are missing out by half.

I'm not crazy about the design running along the strip at the cap. I'd prefer something simple with no pattern.

Thoughts: monks/double monks are one of the most hideous shoe styles ever created.

That said, these ones don't look any more hideous than the typical double monk. So if you're convinced you want a pair, might as well get these.

Sutor makes great quality. You won't be disappointed in that regard.

Color is great. So if the last fits your foor and your style, they rock.

Good shoe, the semi-brogue is a nice change of pace. If you like that detail, then go for it!
