So ive been thinking for a while to buy one of those thin washed leather shirts. I called Maxfield and they run around 2800-3 grand???
I knew they were expensive but that much is ridiculous. I know theres a couple people on here that own one. Did you all that have one pay that much?
I was expecting maybe around 1500..less then two grand

I used to have a patterned suede shirt by Etro and it was not very comfortable to wear.

I also still have a relentlessly tacky leather and canvas shirt by Gucci that had the G logo all over. It is so over-the-top it is acceptable to wear.

i guess i'd have to see it to believe it. I'm sure it's completely fine. Just something about the idea of having a leather shirt really still rubs me the wrong way....cuz after that....what else is there....leather pants....

I've handled the shirts at maxfield. What makes them dope is the type of leather and the fact that it's matte in addition to being cut very well. **** I laughed too but I saw the green and the purple I was like **** I'd rock this if I was wiping ****** with hundys. I'd even get the leather coat that was like 5k.

Other labels make leather shirts as well, not just Cdiem. Definitely not for the unsure, however.

I think a vast majority of people on the forums who own leather shirts from the likes of Cdiem got them at a steep discount. As many items coming from LUC, Cdiem, etc. etc., they usually don't sell well in the stores at full price.. so take that into consideration. IMO I would never pay $1500 for a leather shirt. Of course take into consideration that I'm poor, but you could find some second hand leather jackets from really great labels in the $400-500 range. Julius makes a leather shirt that you can cop for like $600 from xcoldricex.

It's a pretty versatile item, great for layering. Looks tough as hell over a black collarless low-slung t-shirt, and then a short, structured sports jacket on top. Could wear with dark jeans so long as the whole top half isn't black. With the distressing done, the leather isn't pure black anyway.

The linea one was 2800 and I didn't even like that one. The carpes were 2300, thicker and nicer looking. I think the person you spoke to didn't know what they were talking about.
