1. I'm sure this will be as well received as remakes of Footloose, Conan the Barbarian, Total Recall and Fright Night.

Robocop as a concept made a lot of sense in the era when it was made. The late 80 and early 90s was the highest crime rate the country had seen. Everyone assumed it would keep getting worse and this movie was a response to that. Now that America is at historically low crime rates it doesn't make any sense so Al Qaeda is the answer I guess.

The problem is going to be the script. Unless they have some massive rewrites coming, all the great actors in the world won't fix this.

Eh, never really had high hopes to begin with. can't be disappointed if you go w/o expectations. A good cast w/ a bad script is still better than a bad cast with a bad script.
