Cool vid, never would've thought they pressed them like that.

Same here - I assumed they'd use a press cloth.

I don't think they're pressing down that hard. You can see some of the same process being done here at 4 mins and 25 secs

Wasn't thinking so much that it would get overly flattened rather that they'd scortch the silk.

For anyone that didn't see it, I did an interview with my friend Michael Hill the current creative director a while back.

Here are the links to part 1:

Sorry for bumping an older thread, but this is the new grail item for me... does anyone know if Drakes ever has a general sale?

Their web site has a sale usually in January, but it's mostly ties, pocket squares, and scarves IIRC. Not sure if clothing was included last sale. They have a couple of "pop-up" sales a year too, I know there was one in London and one in NYC last year. The NYC sale was amazing!

Glad it was bumped. Very interested to see what other members have to share smile.gif

They also had an Urban Daddy deal a few months ago that was just shirts and ties. I have no idea if anything like that will happen again, but I got a couple of shirts from it.

I haven't really seen Drake's clothing sold anywhere other than their site, the pop-ups, and that Urban Daddy deal. Lots of places like Mr Porter and Barney's carry their accessories and can often be found on sale.

Does anyone know when the Spring/Summer sale begins?

Barney's has a few Drake's ties on sale, from $145 down to $69
