What do you make of these?

Leather quality?
Worth the money?
Last well?

I wish they'd make them in this colour

Church makes good shoes contrary to what some people might say. If you get them I recommend getting them in calf leather and not polished binder leather.

Go for it. You won't regret.

Few concerns (for a £370 shoe):

1. colour - bit dull. I'm surprised Church's stock such a limited range of colours.

2. shape - last 173 is a bit square. As I recall, it isn't all that interesting. I preferred the old 100 last.

3. quality issues - some of their shoes are linen-lined. Not a good sign.

On the plus side, they are solidly built and will last for years.

So you'll be stuck with shoes you don't particularly like for a long time?

I bought a pair of Chetwynd in 2004. They look better today than they did the day I bought them. Get them shined a couple of times and see how they change. I've been wearing Church's for years and am very happy with the quality, comfort and everything else. I did like the 100 last, but what can you do when people eat junk food and get fat feet? The rest of us suffer and have to size down in wide widths. SF hates Church's. Whatever. I love them.

I like them in the dark brown suede.
