Hi guys I have just started my college life and Im planning to buy a backpack. But do backpacks like this (http://store.americanapparel.com.hk/rsa0508.html?cid=49-752&c=Cypress / Natural) go well with a shirts/tees + chinos/jeans style? And i wonder which colour should i choose, true navy or khaki?

P.S.: My wardrobe consists mainly of Navy,Grey,White,Black, a bit of light blue/khaki/burgundy.

I would really appreciate if i can get some help here. Thanks a lot guys! :)

Just buy something simple and that isn't too big. Girls don't really care about your backpack unless it's huge or ugly.

This belongs on the SW&D section.

But I think for what you're looking for, Filson bags will be the most highly recommended SF-approved item.

Orvis also makes a great one that's more Men's Clothing than SW&D

I agree, i've used my black wool filson duffle bag for about two years in college and it's a great all around bag. Looks great as well

Customhide makes a sweet backpack in leather. I wear it on my motorcycle as I cruise about the city fighting crime.

Nah, da hunnies b all over my sack...

I really have gotten plenty of compliments for my backpack from the opposite sex, though.

Something like this perhaps?

All the college and school boys around here have them.

Or how about something like my school/college backpack?

A global trend I see, I LOL'd when I saw a grown man (least I thought) walk around campus with a backpack similar except it was Power Rangers/Sesame Street.

I agree with duffwiley, a simple backpack will suffice IMO
