hey guys, whats the word on sizing on these things. I think they look terrible if baggy, so I'm thinking of sizing down. I wear a 38R suit jacket, but am thinking of ordering a 34-36 (S) in the barbour. Do you guys think this will be too small?

thanks.

Good question. I've called the Boston Barbour store and they weren't all that helpful. All these UK sites have a much larger selection that what you can get from a US vendor but I don't want to go through the hassle of returning something to the UK.

I'm a 40R in BB Fitzgerald and bought a few years back a Beaufort in 40 facepalm.gif , that thing is huge (use to believe not long ago that it fitted right, but in retrospect is too big). I've been thinking about a Barbour Chelsea or Moran but sizing down to a small. Anybody knows if this would be a good idea, I'm looking for a slim fit. I wish somebody in the US would carry those models.

north river outfitters carries the chelsea in navy (which I think I'll get).

Its basically between a small or medium. I'm thinking the small is the way to go.

ime, I always size down. Even when wearing lightweight sweaters, still a comfortable wear but not too tight ..Their jackets are always cut generously

alright, enough fiddling.

I picked up the chelsea in navy for $182 from Jules B. Went with the small...hope it fits.

Ok just received this thing and IT IS FUCKING SEX.

Fit around the body is perfect (i went with the 34-36 chest "small") and I regularly wear a 38 and its perfect. Sleeves are too long, but I've learned I must have really short arms.

Bottom line, I couldn't be more pleased with this purchase. It is THAT good.
