What’s a $4,000 Suit Worth? - Page 9

There are only a handful Bespoke tailors in Canada who can produce a real Bespoke suit, this does not include those tailors who ship their good to be put together in China. Since a  Bespoke tailor, working on his own can only produce 2 suits a month, your calculation that only 1% of a population of 33 million Canadians can afford a $4000 suit is irrelevant. Most tailors will travel far and wide for a good client. As a Canadian I prefer to travel to New York since New Yorkers tend to appreciate this quality of tailoring. To own a Bespoke suit does not depend on your take home pay but your appreciation for the fine craft of tailoring. There are many extremely rich people who are happy in jeans and a

T shirt.  Bespoke is not for everyone.

Rudolf just for interests sake. What percent of your client base would you say is based in Canada? because i remember reading somewhere that some savile row firms take home like 60% of their business from US trips.

It would be 50% for now, but the clientele is quickly growing in the US.
