Mine was less so.

I was really hoping for more valuable contributions than the comment you made.

Good idea, although I was actually looking for more explanation and reasons as to why people made their choices than results the poll would have given me.

Sounds great, which shoes have you compared them against when chosing Berluti?

Santoni. Love their designs and quality. The first Santoni shoes I purchased was Lazaro, it felt like I was wearing Nike Air, so comfortable, from that day forth, I decided to stick with the brand.

Do they offer a recrafting service like AE and Alden?

p.s., I like different shoes at different brands.  i.e., Tricker's Stow, G&G GG06 Oxford, G&G MH71 St James II, Corthay Arca, Berluti loafer, etc.  But out of the 16 pairs of all my shoes, I own 3 Lobbs and 2 FootJoy golf shoes.

goodyear welting or no, cole haan are not quality products

I agree that they are not high quality, but they do look nice when new and are very comfortable.  They are not shoes that will last many years though.

Allen Edmonds are my personal favorite.  They seem to be the best shoes for the money.

Loake's for me..Great looking shoes (especially brogues -thing of beauty),affordable price and made in England. Second after that would be Barker for more of smarter type of shoe.

I agree I think they make some great shoes, however I am looking forward to possibly trying some other brands as well.

Nice, I do wish to try some English brands fairly soon.

Just trying to figure out exactly which ones right now.

My vote is for Allen Edmonds. I feel the quality / value / style combination is great for me. And I like to buy American-made products when I can.

There is also a sentimental connection - my dad has always worn Allen Edmonds and he bought me my first pair of Allen Edmonds just after I graduated from college. And I have a pair of Allen Edmonds my wife bought me for our first Christmas together 22 years ago.
