I don't think I've ever heard a positive thing about this beverage. Is it true that they don't sell the 190-proof version in New York state?

Someone told me that he took a shot of Everclear and started drooling involuntarily.

That drooling means your body is getting ready to hurl. You should know that by now.

My uncle told me about how at his college they had a special drink where you would drink about an inch off a beer and top it up with Everclear. I've never tried it, because I like my eyesight, but it does sound delicious.

I think I've only vomited once from alcohol (and that was after about 12 shots of tequila and a few beers), so I can't say I'm all too familiar with the drooling. Everclear sounds better for Molotov cocktails than for any other kind...

I am probably confusing facts here, but I don't believe Everclear can be sold in Minnesota. It is available across the river in Dakota, however, and was a popular way to "spice up" punchbowls. It is brutal stuff. Simply drinking to get wasted. Really wasted.

An old drunk I used to work with at a marina used to get wasted every night on Everclear and Squirt.

Yes, its "popularity" stems solely from its high alcohol content.
Back in the day, we used to use it to fuel the "flaming" part of flaming Dr. Peppers. (Fill a shot glass mostly with amaretto, top with everclear, ignite the everclear, drop into a pint of beer and quaff.)

The 190 proof version is also illegal for sale in California as far as I know.

I wish it was, though. Ultra high proof potable alcohol is infinitely useful for cleaning things that need to be human safe, like pipes and what not.

Maybe try it in some jello shots. Otherwise, it tastes just as bad as cheap vodka and gets the job done twice as fast, so why not?

The time that it comes through is for jungle juice basically. Anyone dumb enough to take a shot of it on purpose deserves the unconsciousness and vomiting. However, it doesn't have really anything but alcohol in it, so the hangover is very light!
