Help my family understand

Thread Starter

My family doesn't understand the point of having 3 pairs of jeans, not only this, but they REALLY don't understand why raw jeans are so "expensive".

If anyone would, can I have a comparison or some reasons to justify raw jeans and their price? Namely 3sixteen jeans, which I am trying to buy.

Like, what are they, how are they made, how they compare to other brands like 7 for all man kind diesel and true religion. You know, basic american brands that everyone (who doesn't understand what raw jeans are) acts like hype beasts over?

Me personally, I just don't like wearing pre-faded jeans. But that's just me

Anyway some help?

if your parents are paying, there's nothing you can do.
if your parents aren't paying, who cares what they think?

Seriously. Just stop discussing denim with those outside superdenim.

If your parents are the ones buying your clothes, you may not have much of an option. Be thankful that at least they purchased 3 pairs of raw denim for you.

Plus, if you are under the age of 18, do you really need $200+ pants. In my opinion, you should just focus on your studies, and in time, you'll hopefully have a decent job which will allow you to buy all the raw denim jeans you want.

get a job and buy your own clothes

I think you should know it yourself if you are plannig to buy a pair. To know what makes the difference between 3sixteen and for example unbranded brand jeans.

And when I walked into school, it was just as I thought
The kids were cracking up laughing at the clothes Mom bought
And those who weren't laughing still had a ball
Because they were pointing and whispering
As I walked down the hall
I got home and told my Mom how my day went
She said, "If they were laughing you don't need them,
"Cause they're not good friends"
For the next six hours I tried to explain to my Mom
That I was gonna have to go through this about 200 more times

So to you all the kids all across the land
There's no need to argue
Parents just don't understand

How old are you? Just get Levi's or Unbranded from UO.

Guys, I'm the one buying them. So chill on that aspect.

I was asking you all because I want to be able to explain to my family why I buy the type of jeans I buy. I literally can't hear the end of it from my family about my champagne tastes and how I'm "paying for the name and not the quality" when they have no Idea what they're talking about.

I'd just like for someone to throw me a bone and help me out lol.

Thanks for answering my question. I have a job, I buy my own clothes. Anyone who wants to be helpful? I personally know the differences between a pair of 3sixteen and a pair of unbranded. It's like the difference between gold and silver, or diamond and cubic zirconia, but I'm not the best explainer in the world so...

you can try to relate it to something they like and spend money on, i guess. like if your dad drinks red wine, ask him why he spends money on an expensive bottle when they sell box wine for $5. people spend their extra cash on different things that they value.

probably they'll still just call you vain though but you could try
