Filson X Levi's Trucker Jacket in Black

They used to available only in Tan, and a new black version has just been made available

They are not available on Levi's website yet, but the Levi's store here in downtown Chicago has them. The store is also doing $100 off $250, so I added a t-shirt and got $100 off icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif Now I want to get the Tan one as well... if I can find a place selling them with a good discount happy.gif

How do you find the sizing on the jacket? Website mentions that you should size up - was this the case with you?

The jacket is fitted. If you want a slim fit get your normal size, if you want space size up.

There are two types of fit for Levis trucker jacket, slim fit and standard fit. This fits the same as all other slim fit trucker jacket. I wear S for standard fit and M for slim fit, and so I went for M.

BTW, went back t the Levis store today and there was only one left. The sales person I talked to told me that this jacket is selling really quick.

Looks awesome but even their standard fit trucker jackets seem to fit a big snug which I'm told is common but it makes it kind of pointless for me to buy this, very hard to size up if you already wear XXL.

BTW, if you pick p any Levis trucker jacket, if the product no begins with 70505, then that's A standard fit jacket. Sim fit ones being with 70589. This Filson one fits mostly the same as all 70589 jacket if your local Levis store doesn't carry them, except the frabic is a bit thicker and more rigid than regular denim.

Order it from filson.com? They do ship to Canada. Not sure if there is any Filson store in Toronto. Your best bet is to check your local Levi's store. Levi's tend to have sales (and online coupon) much more often than Filson.

If you want the jacket to fit properly, do not size up. A lot of this sizing confusion came from the first production run of the tan jackets, which was very small. Current production (including the black version) is a bit roomier.

OP, what size do you need in the tan? I have a NWT size L that I may sell.

Call Oliver Spencer and/or Motoretta. Both run by Standard Apparel who are the canadian distributors for Filson. Not sure if they have the coat but they carry Filson products. 

 

Note that prices in Canada are higher when purchased in store. $215 US for the Filson 256 online or in the US will likely cost closer to the $275 canadian in stores. I purchase all my filson online through either Glen's Outdoor or Working Person's. Both stores often have discount codes. Scored a rucksack brand new for $160 last year.

While cross-border shopping, my spouse got me a tan trucker from the Filson outlet in Burlington, WA. She said that they also had them in black. They’re 1st quality, but are being sold for $130 because they are apparently running small.

The medium that I got looks brand new and unused, but it is marked on the label to prevent retail return. It also doesn’t come with the bottle of wax. Anyhow, I’ll be exchanging the medium for a small when I cross the border in a couple of weeks.

But if anyone wants my tan Levis x Filson trucker (medium), just let me know because it’s here in Canada so you don’t have to worry about customs charges.

I got my tan tin cloth trucker in the fall of 09 and i got a size L which fit's like a snug 42 jacket.
Last fall i picked up the shelter cloth (green) Hunter-trucker jacket with 'game pouch' on the back panel in size L but it fits more like a 44 jacket.

My question...how will this new black trucker fit? like the OG or like the more recent hunter-trucker jacket?

Thanks guys, I want to order this new color but dont want the poor fit of last years jacket...and this whole size mix-up is news to me
