Which Neckwear Do You Find Yourself Gravitating Towards

Now that Fall is approaching, and I'm heading back to work, I'm wondering what neckties do you guys seem to reach for more often. I find myself attracted more and more towards textured Navy Ties and Brown Ties, as its the most easily matched with my wardrobe.

Which ones are the ones for you and why? Silks? Wools? Cottons? Feel free to use the poll as well as the thread...

I voted navy textured. Not sure why, but I'm definitely into textured ties right now. Grabbed several different Drakes shantung on sale (and one Vanda) and am loving them.

I love seasonal ties in any color:

Spring Summer= linen/cotton/silk

Fall Winter= wool/cashmere/silk

I always chose the tie I wear in relation to everything else I'm wearing and my mood, and since both everything I am wearing and how I feel is different every day, it's hard to make a generalization. I suppose I am slightly less likely to wear linen and cotton ties, and pale colored ties (not that I have many of the latter), as the temperature drops. But that's about it.

I love my wool challis ties from Hober.

I'm getting more and more partial to formal silver ties in traditional patterns like shepherd's check and simple weaves such as oxfords.

I agree, but what I'm asking is which tie to you grab out of the closet the most, and yes, that tie ,or those few ties, are dependent on what the other pieces are. I was trying to get a general idea.
