Banana Republic's "Tailored" fit jackets are woefully undertailored.

I don't know where you get your information from but some of the nicest bespoke shirts have darts--especially for those of us who lift.

Made by whom? On SF they call anything bespoke and besides just because some really odd person wants Ascot Chang or Turnbull and Asser to make a shirt this way doesn't mean it's acceptable.
Lift? people with broad shoulders would never need darts in shirts. The people on here who want darts are all ectomorphs with narrow shoulders who can't find a shirt to fit them.
Besides, weight lifters with big muscles look like freaks.Arnold was the first guy to even partly make lifting respectable with freaky looking muscles. Even when he was young lifting and working out in gyms was associated with homosexuals and people thought that Arnold was gay before it became a little bit acceptable by the late 80's.

How do you know that he/she is a troll? I enjoyed her/his little rant. It was good for a few lawlz...lighten up.

I have no problem with a troll post (singular). Adds a bit of interest and fun. Troll posts taking over a thread, regardless of the quality of that thread, seems like less in good fun and more detrimental to the forum.

Back on topic: I have four Banana Republic blazers/odd jackets, all of which fit me very well off the rack (whereas BB/HF often require some modification work for me). The oldest I've had for four years and have had absolutely no problems with it. The other three are similarly without problems. I have three overcoats from them, no problems there, including one that I've had since 2005 and which has seen heavy use.

I don't quite understand the often vehement objection to BR on this forum. Their quality is definitely not on par with their non-sale prices, but provided the jacket is on sale, I think they make for pretty good deals. I like their wool slacks as well, but one pair has developed a pull or two (razored off easily enough) after three or so years, so don't feel quite so safe vouching for their pant quality.

Sometimes I'm half tempted to start a "BR Appreciation Thread" just to see who would come out of the woodwork

Is his shoulder out of socket?

Anyone tried of have input on the new Banana Republic "Modern-Slim Fit" Suit? It's supposed to be their slimmest cut.
