On SF they call anything bespoke and besides just because some really odd person wants Ascot Chang or Turnbull and Asser to make a shirt this way doesn't mean it's acceptable.I don't know where you get your information from but some of the nicest bespoke shirts have darts--especially for those of us who lift.

Lift? people with broad shoulders would never need darts in shirts. The people on here who want darts are all ectomorphs with narrow shoulders who can't find a shirt to fit them.
Besides, weight lifters with big muscles look like freaks.Arnold was the first guy to even partly make lifting respectable with freaky looking muscles. Even when he was young lifting and working out in gyms was associated with homosexuals and people thought that Arnold was gay before it became a little bit acceptable by the late 80's.
