I'm interested in how people manage cold calls from executive search firms / recruiters / internal recruiters. I receive several calls per week from the aforementioned and never return them - I'm not looking to change positions and don't "have someone in my network to recommend." I also don't really have the time to bother.
With the being said, I also feel that it is impolite to simply not respond. I also think in the back of my mind that maybe these people could be useful in the future when trying to staff positions. I should note that I am in my current position because of a recruiter.
Thoughts?
