Hi all
My first post here after having read 75% to date of the official shoe care thread (which is great)
I have a new (second hand) pair of Church's brown brogues and have to date given them a condition with Reno, a coat if Saphir med brown crime, and now some Saphir wax to the toes with a cotton wool pad or two.
The wax however seems to be staining certain sections of the toe dark, and when I add even a small amount of spit this worsens it and looks like a stain of sorts.
Can anybody tell me what this might be resulting from? Maybe I should have used some renomat to clar all existing and start again, but the shoes look in reasonably good shape.
I am also trying to identify the leather - is it calf or polished binder, as this will obviously impact.
I will ty to post some pics here.
Any help much appeciated.
