Yes, if you get 8 people to join you for a GMTO.

My Carlos Santos Petro Shadow Double Monks were sent out today by Skoaktiebolaget. So excited! Finding a belt will be a bit of trouble...but it's worth it. See the picture they just sent me to get a feel for the color. They almost have a teal blue kind of Museum Calf look to them. Can't wait to get fit pics.

Those look nice. Now looking forward to your personal review and pictures once you get them.

Wow, man. Skoak really got Fedex to ship at lightening quick speed. My CS Double Monk Petro Shadow Patina Size 10 UK in 234 Last just came in today and only shipped two days ago.. See the pics on feet and outside below. I did a little comparison of them and my Carmina Brown Double Monk in Simpson Last (10.5 UK), also purchased Skoak.

Positives so far:

1. Soft leather more on par with Carmina than Meermin Clasico.

2. Break in is super fast. They already feel soft and supple around my feet with thin socks on. Tried thicker dress socks and they are quite snug (almost uncomfortable)

3. The color is quite distinct. It's a bit more green than I anticipated. More tealish than blue with green mixed in.

Negatvies

1. None as of yet!

Still need to try them on without socks. All of my Double Monks feel so much more comfortable sans socks.

For those interested, there is a B&M shop carrying Carlos Santos in Brussels (address is Galerie de la Porte Louise 220, 1050 Ixelles).

I just dropped by today and had a chat with the owner who is really passionate about shoes, and is an overal nice guy.

Can someone who purchased a Carlos Santos recently give a personal review?

Don't know if it's the right place to ask, anyway - have some questions about the fitment of CS 8280:

1. Do you think the length of the shoe (compared with my right feet on the picture below) is OK? Are the toes "far enough" or there is too much room in the front? What do you think? Should they break correctly?

2. Is there any chance, that the eyelet tabs will get together?

Thank you!

Anyone got the tassel loafer on 1944 can comment on fit? Trying to find Alden alternative, abdern(spelling?) is just too narrow in toebox for me (in US D width, E would work in toebox but heel would slip).

In general I'm 9.5D US to slightly wider with fairly flat foot. GG MH 71 works for me ish in 9E UK, CJ 348 in 8.5E UK works for Chucka (Tetbury), but Oxford feels too tight in toebox
