Im in DC for the week and I see that there are four Nordstrom's Rack all about the same distance from here (Alexandria). If I could only get to one or two of them, any recommendation as to which have the best selections? I'm hoping a Labor Day sale also?

Thanks.

I've only gone to the one at Pentagon City so I'm not sure how it stacks up to the other locations. I wasn't impressed!

Potomac Mills and Friendship seem to be the other closest. I was leaning away from the mills in general as I haven't been too fond of other Mills that I've visited.

The two I've had the best luck at are the Fair lakes and Gaithersburg locations. The Potomac Mills location has a lot of nice Talbott ties in the 30 dollar range also good prices on the summer weight slacks. The Neimans, and Saks there are so-so much better at the Arundle Mills location.

If you can hold on for a bit, they are building a Nordstrom Rack at the old Borders books on 18th and L.

I tried the one at Friendly center. Not a ton of selection, but I have read in multiple places that the Rack was the last store to find the Fairfax in Chili. So I snagged a pair of those.

I doubt the one at 18th and L will be open by the time I leave this weekend. I will be back at the end of September though. Do you know when that store is planning to open?

I was pleasantly surprised by my visit to the Nordstrom Rack in Friendship Heights and Pentagon City. Both contain significant amounts of Canali (including Kei) and Zegna, particularly for larger sizes (54 and 56). Prices are not anywhere near SF B&S, however. I was waiting for a Canali Kei in my size to drop in price, but it looks like a fellow 40R got to it first.

Opening date is April 18. Given the location, I'm hoping that it becomes the new Filene's Basement.

I have just returned from the grand opening of the downtown Nordstrom Rack. The selection is terrible, far worse than the other Racks in the DC area. It might get better merchandise as time goes on, but I'm not holding my breath.

^^ Totally agree, what a horrible store. The same generic brands and awful shoes. And the crowds were gross.
