They're down by a field goal in the second to a highly-motivated, decent team while coming off an emotional emotional win against a bitter rival. Let's not write them off just yet.

What a game. If any of you ever get a chance to go to a LSU game at night, definitely go. The atmosphere in that stadium was crazy. You better have thick skin if you are the opposing teams fan.

More like empathy. Their fans are idiots and they don't even realize it.

That's very true as well.  I've been to a whole lot of football games and never seen a group of people as a whole act the way LSU fans do.  Girls with us were being called sluts, we had a shoe thrown at us (not a joke), everyone including kids yells Tigah Bait or Bama Blows.  The worst though had to be what the students chanted in the third quarter.  For at least a minute the entire student section chanted, "Suck my tiger dick bitch."  Apparently it's something they do every game.  Even with all of that, still one of the best places to see a football game.

Aside from Nebraska and maybe Texas A&M, I'd say almost every fan base in a BCS conference has fans/students that do stupid crap like this. The bigger the game or rivalry the more rowdier students and fans get.
