I feel awful for him. Hope he recovers.

Besides the broken femur and patella, very similar injury to Willis McGahee in the national championship game in like 03.  He came back and has been very successful, hopefully Lattimore will do the same.

More recent reports on Lattimore don't sound as dire. Spurrier said the injury was a knee dislocation, and it doesn't look like the ligament damage and broken bone reports from earlier were accurate. By all accounts, his recovery will be long and tough, but it appears his career might not be completely gone. I hope that's true.

Mixed emotions.
J Jones is going to get paid next year though. Guy is just astonishing, like a men among boys in the SEC. Insane. The D in general was awesome (at least the first half that I've seen so far goddammit spoilers), so much different from the SC game.

I had a similar problem. We had my son's birthday party yesterday, so, by the time we started the game, we were watching on the DVR with about an hour delay. We got relatively close to caught up, but we were still watching the early fourth quarter when the game ended. My father-in-law was outside for a bit during this time, and he came back in and said, "Georgia must have done something good because the whole neighborhood started cheering."

Honestly I had completely forgotten that whole angle to the game this week! Should be a good one to watch!

I encourage everyone to tune in at 6pm pacific time Friday, to watch some mediocre Pac-12 football (UW at Cal).

Wow. Didn't even know they played football out west.

As much as I might bitch about an east-coast bias, I have to admit, it was a pain in the ass to watch pac-10 games when I lived in Tennessee. I'm not sure I'd have stayed up till midnight or later to watch it if I weren't personally invested. Earlier in the day it's much easier to watch games that you're not as interested in while you're waiting for "your" game to come on.

Was going to say I didn't know they played football in the ACC either, but edin beat me to it.

Keenan Allen is apparently injured (on an onside kick when Cal was down by like 30 no less), his brother is still not a d1 quality QB, the guy that did this...

and this

has like 20 carries this year.

Red, how has Shaq Thompson done this year (better than his baseball career I'm sure rimshot.gif)? Does he even start?

You want to be amazed? Look up bigelow's high school highlight tape - I've never seen anything like it. He was a UW commit before he went with Cal towards the end.

Shaq has started from day 1 - he plays kind of a hybrid nickel/LB role. Is one of the leading tacklers on the team and really lays the wood given the opportunity.

That's what she said.

...

Edit: Stanford @ CU Saturday... Go Buffs! (Sigh. What has happened to our program.)

Headed to Baton Rouge today for the big game this weekend.  Should be fun.

Welp. That was an ugly, ugly win by the huskies. I'll take 12 of those every year.

Given that we haven't won on the road in 13 months I'm glad to get a road win any way i can.

After scrambling all over the field in what seemed to be an imminent sure sack, Gardner threw an amazing TD for Michigan. An outstanding play!
