I like the "rules expert" guy that pops up - he's like a lawyer consulting on gray-area plays. He's right, though, about the control of the ball finally being within the endzone.

Yeah, I'm pretty surprised that the Dawgs didn't show up. I saw a lot of swagger in the previous games that was just not there.

I just don't get it. I knew this might be a loss for Georgia. In fact, I said to a coworker the other day that I thought Georgia probably has a loss coming at either USC or UF, but this is just absurd. It's like they stopped during the bus ride to Columbia and swapped out the roster with a high school team somewhere in BFE Georgia.

Shades of the Alabama game when we were ranked #2. Something about Richt teams, we get ranked high early in the year and just utterly shit the bed against our first real test. Like, it's one thing to play a decent game and lose but this "Not showing up for the game" business is fucking intolerable.


I've been pretty pro-Richt, but this is starting to be a trend. If UGA decides they want to play at the national level, Richt might not be the guy. I don't know who we'd replace him with, but you just can't have games like this.

This was a pretty rough one. I really hope they don't end up shutting us out.

That said, I'm looking forward to watching South Carolina play LSU and Florida on the road over the next couple weeks.

It could be worse, though, Matt; at least we're not Auburn fans...

PS: I passed on your message to Ed. He was not pleased.

I agree completely.

There's no shame in losing a close one to a great opponent, but that's not what this was. This was a complete meltdown.

I really like Richt, and I want so badly for him to be The Guy, but it never fails that we end up with at least one of these games a season. I'm running out of ways to argue against people who claim there's a ceiling for his success.
