Sounds like the plot for a movie, a sort of "Four Lions Take Manhattan." Terrorists riding the subway on their way to an attack in NYC are foiled by the MTA and its denizens. In the final scene, an out-of-work minor league baseball player administers the "slap of justice" and knocks the lead terrorist backwards down a non-functioning escalator.

You know why New Yorkers are depressed??

Because the light at the end of the tunnel is Jersey.

yesterday could have been a mess with that whole St. Patrick's thing. I obviously started the morning in Williamsburg, then worked in Tribeca, then I left work around 9-9:30 and headed uptown (57 and 5) for dinner, then Uber back to USQ for the L back into W'Burg ... and I didn't notice a damn thing related to the festivities. It was awesome.

(ok, so I saw one girl wearing a goofy hat, and some NYPD picking up leftover sidewalk gates presumably left from the parade .... but that's it)

Amazing how in NY, no matter which direction you are walking, the wind is always in your face.

it's sort of hard weather to dress for. Very cold in the morning, but too warm for a coat in the afternoon.
