It seems like everyone says how great The Halal Guys are in comparison to the other vendors simply because of proportions while ignoring the fact that all the meat is precooked waiting in a bin. I've only ever eaten chicken over rice at any other halal food cart, and they all use the carry out styrofoam container.

This is truth. With maybe a day or two of nice cool sunny in there (but then again maybe not)

Is there such a thing as bad yoga pants? I contend that any bad yoga pants sighting would likely not be the pants' fault.

Maybe we can get an expert opinion from Chip Wilson.

I agree with this. All yoga pants are good. Problems begin when women try to put 40 lbs of ass into yoga pants with a 20 lb ass capacity.

Will a day come on which I don't have to wear boots?

Suede is now officially pointless in New York. It's gauche to wear in hot weather, and you can't wear it in cool weather because there's too much slush-snow-water-puddles everywhere. May as well donate all my suede shoes to Goodwill at this point.

on a similar note, what I thought was solid pavement was instead a flooded sinkhole. Excellent commute.

(I will note that my feet remained dry. Thanks, GDL's store!)

I sort of dimly remember a time when I could go out without "gear." That is, a heavy suit (14 ounces or above) and then ordinary shoes would be enough against ordinary cold. Maybe an overcoat occasionally.

But this year, it's full gear almost every day. Hat, gloves, coat, boots, scarf, umbrella.

Do you wear 12D? If so consider me Goodwill!

I am wearing suede chukkas today without problem. The slush pools aren't so deep today. Might be a different story tomorrow if we get the predicted 4-8 inch accumulation.

Come visit! We're having an unprecedented run of cool/sunny weather - though its supposed to be a balmy 62 over the weekend icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif #yardwork
