Kidding aside, this actually sounds perverse enough to be interesting. And it is the kind of thing that can be tough to find in other theater markets. I would be much more inclined to see something like this than I would some corporate mega-spectacle that had been focus-grouped and polished within an inch of its life.
I know there's no street cred in Aladdin, but I'm throwing it out there because I've heard it's excellent. My co-worker (male, young, single) even saw it solo, and if you have kids (not sure if you do), then you don't want to see Hedwig. I recommended Hedwig because I have a crush on the chick that plays a guy (no, not the chick played by the guy). Would tap.

no, I stayed home and hung out with my druggie neighbors and watched the dogs. My wife and her sister went, and apparently it's excellent.

and yes, they got back really late/early.

I would toss Amateur Night at The Apollo into the mix.

Cheap fare, great venue, fun show, street cred. It has been running every Wed night for the past 7 years or so.

Just don't eat at Sylvia's prior.

I was just in a disorganized line to board a flight at LGA when a mother loudly coaxed her teenage daughter to, "Push through! If you're nice to them, they won't be nice to you!" I think I died inside a little.

Do the Halal guys with the food cart midtown outside the Hilton hotel actually give more food? I feel like there isn't really a difference. Rather, because the container isn't wide, the foods just bunched up to look like there's more. Never waited in line for it.

I've only been to one Broadway show ever and that was with Gomestar.

you're the same for museums and concerts. How is it that I'm your only culture carrier? It's such a waste otherwise!

Museums and concerts? Not really, I actually go to them often.

So, snow today, snow thursday, followed by one last deep freeze, then rain for the rest of march, and then Showers&ThunderstormsHazyHot&Humid until the first blizzard of 2015-16.

I see yoga pant season, and then short skirt season, and then back to yoga pants.

I've actually gotten lost in subway stations admiring and following a good pair of yoga pants (thanks, Bleecker street labrynth)

In general? I don't think so. Did someone try to sell them to you that way? I buy it for the taste.

What am I missing? I don't think I have ever found a good reason to wear Yoga pants.

I only eat street meet 2-3 times a year, but when I do I actually prefer Rafiqi's. A tad less meat, but I like the vegetables (onions, peppers, black olives, beans, chickpeas, all on top of the lettuce and tomato .... all doused in white sauce).

It seems like everyone says how great The Halal Guys are in comparison to the other vendors simply because of proportions while ignoring the fact that all the meat is precooked waiting in a bin. I've only ever eaten chicken over rice at any other halal food cart, and they all use the carry out styrofoam container.
