I walk a fair amount. When the wind blows it's almost impossible to get hot.

Yeah, took me like an hour to get home yesterday. On the plus side I picked up some sausages from Brooklyn Kitchen and sautéed some bok choy.

With all of the train mess and cold, I lost my metro card I just got which was unlimited. I had to buy another one today. The MTA got $226 from me this month. The plus side is my old one had some lame basketball advertisement on it and now I have the classic yellow one. See, that's looking on the bright side of things!

I believe you can get a refund for a lost unlimited 30 day card.

I took the J to get home. Could have worked out just fine, except the particular train I was on was changing to express, so I had to get off and wait for the M to get to my somewhat close to home stop. The wait for the M as 10-15 minutes, which sucks normally, but I had to wait on an outdoor platform. And the walk from the train to home was still terrible in the cold.

Hey thanks! Only if the MTA's trains would run as smoothly as the get your money back people. You'd think they'd be itching to keep as much as possible for as long as possible.

Couldn't you just wear a thinner jacket?

I was nearly run over by de Blasio's motorcade this morning. I was crossing the street and three SUVs suddenly put on their police lights and blew through the intersection. de Blasio and his entourage emerged from the SUVs down the block. He is as tall as they say.

It is. Overcoat unbuttoned, no scarves, no hat, just gloves and a sweater on.

I just came in from outside without no coat or scarf. Just a 16oz suit. Today is fine.
