Yeah, I have a pretty high tolerance for cold, but today was pretty nasty walking to the train.

yeah, i don't mind the cold at all. put on your jacket, check it at the door when you're going out. simple. but i made the error of not covering my nose while walking to the train. at first, it was all fine, but i couldn't wait to get into the station.

needless to say, walking from the train I had a different scarf situation going on.

For whatever reason I am anti anything on my head. I never wear a hat or earmuffs or any of that bullshit. Needless to say my ears were freezing. Am I going to do anything differently on the way home? Nope, just complain.

that doesn't make any sense. Ear muffs make a huge difference when it's 5 degrees and windy out.

then again, if there's one person who I would imagine likes pain followed by numbness, it'd be you.

FWIW, i'm decked out in Howard Yount and No Man Walks Alone attire. I'm like a walking advertisment for SF.

My ears were freezing. I'd just rather be cold than have to worry about yet, another winter weather accouterment especially something stupid like a head, or ear covering. I mean a suit, briefcase, overcoat and beanie? Just doesn't look right. I don't care how much utility it has. I just don't need to be perfectly comfortable in the cold. I mean, its cold, so I'll be a little cold. Big whoop.

this. I walked out onto the street and thought it's mighty chilly out, but no biggie. As soon as a gust hits you, then all bets are off.

thankfully, it's not as windy as I expected. 35 mph gusts would be terrible.

do you actually think that people are assessing fashion while trekking to work in 5 degree weather?

I was walking without a coat the other day in my neighborhood and this guy stopped me and said, "I really appreciate your continued commitment." It was funny.
