Reasons why New York Sucks - Page 510

It was far from my best athletic performance, but given the interruption of my training, I was happy to finish. Although I finished last year more than 90 minutes faster, I had no goal other than finishing and enjoyed myself much more. Raising money also helps to justify the effort.

It's a fine city you have there. My elder son, however, thinks it's nuts to be around so many people all the time. He's truly a Californian. He would prefer Manhattan Beach to Manhattan. Kids...

No offense to your fine progeny, but he likes California as a place to get away from overcrowding??

Truth be told, Manhattan Beach is certainly less crowded then Manhattan Island. That said, more people vapor lock on the sidewalk in Manhattan Beach, so it may be hard to tell the difference.

I'm not sure there's anywhere in California we could go that would approach the density of humanity he experienced near Times Square.

I wish there was a way to make the running more technical... Would make marathons much more interesting to watch.

"Ooh he took a really nice line"
"It's a risk for her to come through there carrying that much speed, but if she can hold it, she will really gain some time on that uphill"
Etc.

Seems the only place to get a Canadian poppy in NYC is the consulate which is rated one of the worst in the city, so fuck that. Looks like I'll be sporting a British poppy which suck compared to the flocked Canadian one.

Love/hate.

But it is over crowded. Paradise for 10 million, very nice for 15 million, starting to get annoying with 20 million, completely effed with 40 million.

I get really irritated at those people who hose down the sidewalk in front of their buildings rather than just sweeping it. Waste of water and then I have to walk on a wet sidewalk. Lazy assholes.

-1 on that one. I've seen some crazy stuff on the sidewalks, so power hose it please.
