You're out of your mind.

Agreed, yesterday was one of the worst days by far.

Well, mind you Gome does walk around the city in a NMWA bathing suit and a tank top. Not to mention the green shoes...

At least the I-Bankers have interesting things to talk about in their respective industries (less tech). A lot of these tech people are in La-La Land and don't understand how, like, real businesses work.

for starters, they're board shorts. And I only own one tank top, which I use to run in. I sported an oxford shirt yesterday, and yet it was still an awesome walk back.

and people, lets not be stupid here, high 70's/low 80's at rush hour is not "worst days by far".

I walked 10 blocks in a suit and a the humidity was killing me. Last week I walked the whole of the high line and then some in the same suit and didn't even break a sweat.

am i the only one who remembers last summer? Those fucking 95+ heat waves?
There was only one heat wave last summer and it was 4 days long. The humidity is far worse this year. It isn't hot, but it sure is sticky.
the humidity is worse every year to everybody, etc...
Come on, Gome, don't you know how fun it is just to complain? confused.gif
post #6746 of 11469
complaining about the weather is for old people. Complaining about bathrooms habits is for the youths.

She's an avid dancer, so tips about shows worth seeing (or non-dance stuff) would be great. Thanks

(I recommend the Smorgasburg down by the Brooklyn Bridge Park. Great views of the NYC skyline and good food. You can also explore the park.)

-Agree with a previous post, check Time Out NY a few days before you come to see what is going on.

-Also check the schedule for the Seaport:

some additions, with that whole teenage girl thing in mind:

High Line in Chelsea followed by dinner in one of the many good restaurants around. Chelsea Markets, too.

South Street Seaport.

Walking around the stores of SoHo.

Uniqlo on 5th ave (IIRC, you're in LA, and this store doesn't have much of an LA presence yet. The 5th ave location is massive). Along this is the basic 5th Ave walks (Tiffany's, Bergdorf, Saks, the other biggies that aren't SF approved).

Times Square, presumably (super touristy, yes, but tourists like lights).

Go to the high line just before sunset, it's beautiful this time of year.
