Yesterday's weather was absolutely amazing.  Sunny, mid 70s and a constant breeze.  But as this is the "sucks" thread, I must mention that my flight out was yesterday rather than today, so I missed the Benny Goodman Tribute / Bria Skonberg AfterParty at Lincoln Center & drom.

There actually was a Dorsia in the Flatiron district after that movie came out. Didn't last long.

Scaffolding. These people who rent this stuff out must make fortune.

There was this entire city block of scaffolding next to my office building for like 4 years. Last year it came down and it was wonderful to see the sky. Well, it is back up now...

Too exclusive to have customers.

Cab drivers who express their disapproval for your destination, for various reasons ranging from traffic to where they'd like to be. Well, this is where I'm going right now, what do you want me to do... change my destination? Anywhere in particular you'd be thrilled to take me?
i think that's it's less the destination and more the fact that the driver is one of those people that's constantly pissed off. It's like when you pay for something that's $7.83 and the cashier gives you a look because you don't have the 83 cents on you and they have to count out the change.

I had a hard time getting a cab to Newark Airport 10 days ago.
are cabs even allowed to go there?
Cab drivers, like people vary so much. Some are very friendly and some I really want to strangle.

i've concluded that's it's good to move every few years as a way of "resetting" (read: getting away from all of the stupid fucking junk mail that i get)

Stone Street is a nice scene. No, it's not Limelight circa 1993, but then again I'm not sentimental about decapitated druggies, American Psycho video clip notwithstanding.
