in my experience only the elderly and boastful ethnic people purposely use the speakerphone function on their cellphones in NYC... teacha.gif

Use of a speakerphone in a non-private context is grounds for banishment from civilization.

Did IHOP take over the Limelight or did that idea die the painful and violent death it deserved?

Fall in the Hudson Valley or Adirondacks is wonderful, but fall in NYC is lame IME.

I think I have the same problem as Manton. At times I'll sweat through a lightweight worsted suit in fuckin' February. This summer was atrocious, my 10 minute walk to work became a trudge through the Congo.

No it's some sort of mini-fashion mall now. There is the Manhattan outpost of Grimaldi's there though.

Reason NY suck: NJ drivers in town on weekends. There should be a special place in hell (right next to people who fart on airplanes) for NJ drivers blocking all intersections and pedestrian crossings within a 20 mile radius of the Holland Tunnel on weekends. GTFO seriously

Broome & Lafayatte is pretty bad after 11 AM on the weekends.

Lafayette and Kenmare is worse, one of the biggest urban planning failures in NYC (maybe slight exaggeration)

It's interesting: I once wanted to move to NYC. My friend and I planned a move there - I was ready to go if I found a job. A job I did not find so I was not comfortable moving at that time. The more he tells me about the city, the more I'm glad I never moved.

Nice to visit, though.
