It's usually just two out here, but somehow the people of Beverly Hills have persuaded the leaves there to change into vibrant colors in autumn.

Beverly Hills is like the enchanted forest. They have some of the best trees there.

I cut through the residential streets near Santa Monica Blvd. on my way to work. Even down there it's stunning.

the MTA is pretty awful, as Manton pointed out, but I really enjoy not having to drive to work.

At least you have a mass transit system. I don't even want to talk about Houston Light Rail.

the public transportation system here is one of the best things about new York, by which I mean, its existence, but the state of maintenance is atrocious. Also, they are definietly not air conditioning the cars like they used to. Cost cutting no doubt. Gotta keep letting people retire with full pension and benefits after 20 years, so save money by screwing the customer!

If one were to drive from one end of the metroplex to the other end how long would it take?

All of the manlets and midgets that live here hold their umbrellas too low.

I'm not very familiar with the geography of the boroughs, etc. You decide.

the term metroplex does not exist here but the metro area is huge, I don't even know how it is defined but it must be at least 100 miles across.

Yeesh. 100 miles of city?

Early May and the end of October are my favorite times to visit NYC. I do it every year.
