fall is definitely the best time to be here, to the extent that one can use the word "best" non-ironically in this context.

I don't think I'd want to live in a place that doesn't experience a perceptible change of seasons. Seems like a bore.

If I were to add a reason why NYC sucks, it would be the overwhelming amount of people. There are just too many.

let's see, we have the humid season, the hot & humid season, the torrential rain season, the freezing season and the snow & slush season. So, no.

re: rains: for six months of the year, every single weather forecast says "showers & thunderstorms." about 1/3 to half the time you will actually see precipitation. but the threat is always there so you have to carry your umbrella like a talisman. Then after several days of no rain, you say "fuck it" and leave it at home, that's the day you get caught in a downpour and soaked to the bone.

It snowed like one time last Winter, around Halloween, and that was pretty much it. I don't mind a little snow. Around January, you start to get sick of it.

I like snow, especially in the city. It turns to slush very quickly, but to my amazement I discovered that one should wear boots instead of loafers when this happens. But not my Edward Green suede boots, that would also be bad.
