I didn't "get it" (I'm a meat and potatoes guy) but its reasonably priced. One word of warning, the owner is Canadian
it's kind of a weird place. some really good things there, some confusing things.
i'm going here tomorrow. not sure what to expect, but i'm also not paying.
Its the culinary equivalent of going to a Hong Kong tailor and getting a Hunstman, Cifonelli and Rubinacci styled suit made.
One of the attempts was a gang initiation, I was told (by the cops, when going through mug shots). I assume he didn't get in.
I lived in NYC for 5 years and never had any issues. One of my friends got mugged in park slope (Brooklyn). Only have found memories of NY as opposed to the thread's subject. My only complaint is a got interested in fashion only after moving to SF 2 years ago. Vendor options MUCH better in NYC.
Being Canadian does not call for a warning; : )
