I wore board shorts to work.

It was the right thing to do.

I didn't wear a suit yesterday. Within 5 minutes of leaving my building a guy stopped me and said, "Excuse me sir, but are you ok? Where's the suit?"

finally a good thunderstorm.

So I spent Friday evening at a close friend's place in Tribeca and took this pic from his balcony on my iPhone:

yeah i know. he's had a couple thousand print requests. Heck of a way to start a photo company (his company takes 50 MP photos and stitches them together to make 30' monster pics with no visible pixelation - or something like that).

I guess there was somebody under that bunch of trees when it struck and the poor bastard sprinted fast A-F to get out of there after the strike. As my friend so eloquently put it, the guy "must have been relatively fine".

Friend took us to Dead Rabbit in fidi this past weekend. Pretty cool cocktail menu. They were delicious. Seems like the second floor would be a prime date spot because of the close seating and relatively quiet atmosphere.

We got some food and the pork belly sliders were out of this world. Honestly the best pork belly I've ever had in my entire life. So crispy and full of ultra concentrated pork flavor that just kept going and going and going. I was blown away.

For the first time in like five years, I am missing a super heat wave. yay!
Daily News says heat index hit 110 today; highest I saw on weather channel app was 108. Most oppressive weather I've ever experienced.
