LEAD Technologies Inc. V1.01

You already know people are going to go back after they open. That, or Vanessa's Dumplings, gets more customers.

Anyone have a good PTAC guy? The company my building suggests doesn't return my calls (how hard do I have to try to give people money?) and I'm hesitant to look at yelp as they are mostly idiots.

I've used Accutemp out of Long Island City. They seem to get the job done.

Seems to be a franchise operation with a shitty site. You did a service or replacement? Think I need a new compressor so it may be cheaper to just get a new unit.

Haven't kept up - when's D Day? Is it the entire park all the way to the East River?

was the Pope scheduled to be here during the same time as the UN for a particular purpose? Or was it just some bozo thinking "yeah, no worries with the Pope coming into town then, it'll work out great. Can't think of anything else going on. Maybe the start of basketball season? Eh, no worries."

Of course, there are like 49 good weeks a year to be in Spain.

Have fun. icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif

If it makes you New Yorkers feel any better, Philly is planning to tow cars parked on major streets in most of Center City in anticipation of the Pope's visit. Starting on some sort of rolling basis based on randomly demarcated zone. They're offering parking permits to residents in something like six or seven lots, which can probably accommodate 10% of the displaced cars. Oh, and cars that leave Center City can't return for several days.

It's a fucking shitshow.

Nobody freezes up a city like the pontif. Nobody's even close. Over the years I've been in five different cities during a papal visit and all reported the worst case of gridlock (event related) in their respective histories.

If Frankie were truly a "man of the people" he'd tell NYC/PHL/DC to shove their security theater.

I suppose it's worth noting that the weather has been really perfect over the past few days.
