to be fair, he didn't say what his evenings are booked with.

I wasn't trying to malign Booth or insinuate any negative connotation to his posts. Just having some fun.

It's OK, we don't mind at all.

That's not because of your active social life. That's because it takes you three hours to cook a steak with your Anova.

AC in my apartment picked a fine week to pack in.

i got the finger lakes book but haven't read it yet.

currently reading russ and daughters. enjoying it a lot. nice mix of NYC history, food talk, and jew-y stuff, all 3 interesting insights for an outsider.

My social life has got nothing to do with my lack of free time in the evenings.

If Duncan's Toy Chest is really closed forever I'm never going back. Not ever.

It pisses me off, but I haven't been there in a long time because of a really stupid situation. One of my best friends had a horrible (and really stupid, imo) falling out with another one of our mutual friends who works there. I stopped seeing him just because of association and awkwardness so now I have to spy to see if he's working before I go in. But yeah, the A/C sucks. I have noticed recently the A/C hasn't been working as much on the MTA.

any tips for crossing Manhattan via car? Friday night starting at 7 PM, Williamsburg to Jersey City (6 or so miles) took 2 hours, all thanks to Holland tunnel traffic. This was the Google-Maps approved route, but god, it was awful. There has to be a better way - cross a few blocks up then dart over the Varick to get into the tunnel? I expect traffic, yeah, but this was moving inches every 10 minutes from the middle of Manhattan over to the tunnel.

Try using Waze. It's the app all the uber drivers use.
