This is why my phone sleeps on a different floor than me.

Disable the stupid amber and weather alerts in your settings. I do that when setting up any new phone I get, like the one I received on Monday. Unfortunately my girlfriend did NOT disable that and her phone woke us....ffffuuuu.gif

I disabled the child-custody-dispute alarm after that one 4-AM alert happened way back when. I keep the weather one on because one day it might be useful.

I hasn't been useful yet.

How's the weather today guys? Low 80's doesn't seem too bad. @patrickBOOTH, your hair ok?

I have an app called Agent that only allows certain notifications to ring the phone after a certain hour.

Who sold all you people phones without "off" buttons?

There are a number of people I call regularly who travel a lot. Since they could be almost anywhere on the planet at any given time, I contact them up -- and vice versa -- without regard to the time. If they don't want to their phone alerting, e.g. because they are sleeping, they turn off their phone. If I wake them up, it's their own damn fault.

People(me included) are just bitching about the alert that went off last night to bitch. I was almost up anyway. Shit happens once in a blue moon. Not a big deal to me.
(Though I also did get an Amber alert yesterday during the day. So 2 in an appr 12-15 hour period.)

My phone is never off. It just isn't. I have slept through texts/calls and have no problem doing it. I don't need an app for something that occurs maybe 5-8 times a year(if that) and maybe 1-2 times a year when I am sleeping.

^^ If I turn it off why the hell would I sleep with it beside me?

i think this is a generational thing.

young hipster-type millennial like myself got to have dat phone by the bed for dat tinder at 3 am, no biggie.

the older gents keep the phone in a bureau in the drawing room... a vestigial land line.

in fact here is a photo of @Piobaire making a dinner reservation on his iphone 6 plus.

"hotel pennsylvania please"

Is anyone going to say anything about how fantastic the weather has been recently?
