I purchased these boots from The Shoe Mart in June 2012. These have a single flex welt leather sole with the usual modified erco heel. They were a special makeup for The Shoe Mart. These have been worn pretty hard; notice the scratches and dents around the heel, the darkened area on the outside of the toeboxes. I have kept them in trees and applied Obeanuf’s LP a few times to keep out the Seattle rain. They have darkened up somewhat from their original color. I am selling as my instep is too low for the modified last to fit well. Alden modified last sizes similar to Barrie and Trubalance, but with aggressive arch support.
