Anyone else receive a Carlo Franco Tie Summer Sale e-mail?

I got an email from Carlo Franco about a summer tie sale.

I thought they were out of business.

Anyone else get such an e-mail?

Anyone know if they are still selling stuff?

I tried buying a tie.

Couldn't get through the checkout process. (Wouldn't direct me to paypal.)

Looking forward to more Carlo Franco ties. The Carlo Franco ties I have already are the most beautiful ties I've ever seen, and I've always been sad that I couldn't ever get any more.

Garish? Tasteless? really?

Some of their designs are brighter and could be described as garish I suppose. Many of them, however, are pretty conservative and classic.



Do you find this example to be "garish" or "tasteless?"

Here's another one I own. Not quite as subdued as the one above, but hardly garish.

If you think the ties are ugly, then there's no appeal. I think they are beautiful (some of them, anyway,) and the lined 7 fold construction is terrific. I own ties from other high-end makers, and the Carlo Franco quality is equal to or surpasses all others.

It looks like a lot of the styles have sold out, as the choices on their web site appear to be dwindling rapidly.

I will be interested to see their new fall collection.
